NFH Artemisinin SAP

Commonly known as sweet wormwood, ‘Qinghao’, Artemisia annua has been used as a staple ingredient in Chinese traditional medicine due to its numerous therapeutic properties. Artemisinin, the primary component of A. annua, has been widely used as an anti-malarial drug.

The Artemisia plant apart from artemisinin, contains other bioactives such as sesquiterpene lactones, which could have antihelminthic properties. Besides these properties, artemisinin has also been studied in a number of different disease models, such as those for rheumatoid arthritis,[3, 4] nephritic syndrome,[5] pancreatitis [6] and lupus nephritis,[7] showing promising results.

Adults: Take 1 capsule one to two times daily or as directed by your health‑care practitioner. Consult a health‑care practitioner for use beyond 7 days. For occasional use only.
