    Vitamin C, also called ascorbic acid, is an essential nutrient and antioxidant used to support collagen formation and the health and maintenance of tissues such as bone, cartilage, blood vessels, skin, and more.

    Vitamin C is found in the highest concentrations in the adrenal glands, but most notably has effects on the immune system in the prevention of colds and flu. Additionally, ascorbic acid exerts an effect on endothelial cells of blood vessels, providing cardiovascular support.
